A Bit About Dubbs
Dubbs Weinblatt (they/them) is an Ohio-born and raised, Brooklyn-living, sober, genderqueer trans Jew who produces, hosts, improvises, and gets vulnerable and shares through writing, teaching, and advocating for a more trans-affirming and just world for all LGBTQ+ people. In 2015 they founded Thank You For Coming Out and has been so excited about the journey of the organization.
Along with their collaborator and pal Geoffrey Kidwell, they Co-Founded and Executive Produce Craft Your Truth, an organization that encourages LGBTQ folks to use performance art as a way to express their stories and connect with their community around them.
Most recently, Dubbs was the Associate Director of Education and Training for Metro New York at Keshet where they worked with hundreds of Jewish institutions and professionals on LGBTQ equality.
Dubbs’ writing has been featured on Hey, Alma, has an essay in the book Welcome to Kweendom and contributed to the #1 Amazon book Redoing Gender. They are a recipient of the GCN Impact Awards, was named one of Logo's NewNowNext’s 6 Inspiring LGBTQ Jewish Activists You Should Be Following, was recently named one of Jewish Week’s Annual 36 under 36, and is part of the ROI Community.
Dubbs has spoken at Princeton, Ohio State and on panels all over the country, and has worked with organizations like SXM Media, Shake Shack, KWT Global, HOMAGE, The Ally Coalition, Level Forward, and more.
