About the event

Join The Neighborhood and Thank You For Coming Out for an evening of live music, poetry, and storytelling that explores the complexities of queerness and allyship within the Jewish community and what it means to show up in solidarity. We will celebrate and uplift the humor, the beauty, the difficulty, and the creativity of LGBTQIA+ Jews. MC-ed by Thank You For Coming Out’s Dubbs Weinblatt, Solidarity Through Storytelling will feature performances by David Blasher, Caroline Rothstein, Tova Harris, Sam Termine and Emma Henderson, Dylan Goodman, Eliana Kayelle & Ray Ramirez, Rena Yehuda Newman, JuanDa, and more performers to be announced!

Thank You For Coming Out is a community organization that strives to inspire authenticity and belonging by uplifting and centering LGBTQIA+ stories and identities. Through empowering LGBTQIA+ people and allies, they are building a strong and interconnected community where every person knows they are an integral part of creating a just world.

The Neighborhood is working to build a Jewish community and cultural center for the North/Central Brooklyn Jewish communities that will be an inclusive and welcoming community hub that reflects the spirit of Brooklyn -- future-thinking and deeply historical, iconoclastic, and sacred. As we look for our physical location, we are excited to be working in collaboration with friends and organizations throughout Brooklyn on pop-up activities around the Jewish calendar, food traditions, and cultural events highlighting the creativity and diversity of Jewish life in our neighborhoods.
